Emma Watson is so pretty it's unbelievable. I don't think J.K. Rowling ever intended for Hermione to be that pretty, but I guess puberty had other plans. Anyways the movie itself was brilliant, it's the first movie that really follows the book plot closely and that's why I enjoyed every minute of it. I guess that was the reason why they split the movie into two parts, if they were to follow the book plot closely even 3 hours wouldn't have been enough. I still dislike the way they portray Harry's random hallucination and scar pains though, they're an important part of the storyline but the movie doesn't seem to pay much attention to it. Anyhooo the ending was great, and tragic in every way, and sets the franchise up nicely for a dramatic ending next July!
ANYWAYS, I was fortunate enough to attend two talks in the space of two days. Patrik Shumacher's talk yesterday was quite interesting and he had an interesting way of explaining his architecture theory in reference to other common field and how he broke each of them down into a table to compare and contrast the various aspects of each field. I bailed at intermission cause of peer pressure, sadly. :( Actually it was more because I was too excited to catch Harry Potter and being in a rather cramped up seat in the lecture hall stifles me.
TODAY, attended a talk on purpose of details. I attended the same talk last year which really made an impression on me and I was hoping this year's would do the same. Unfortunately it didn't, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Wee Hii-Min from DNA was there again and it was equally enjoyable as the talk he gave at the KL Datum earlier this year even though he recycled some of his materials. Then there was also Colin Seah from Ministry of Design with his funky ideas which I found pretty cool regardless of whether I stand on the same page as his philosophy. So overall it was a rather useful talk, only downside was that the intermission food was kinda bland. :P
You can check both their works here.
