Sometimes I care too much about trying not to care.

It's been almost a week but I still feel awfully sick in the stomach everytime I read further reports on the death of Darren Ng. Not that I'm worried about the level of safety in Singapore, just the idea that such brutal evil people exists in Singapore. I don't know if the culprits being sentenced to death is going to do anyone any good, but maybe it'll help Darren's family better.

Reports has it that the attack steamed from a staring incident, but I'm skeptical about it. I'm not trying to lay a stain on Darren, but I don't think he's as innocent as the media portrayed him. The fact that the convicts were carrying weapons, which is a crime on itself, shows they knew what they were getting into. I doubt it was 'fight-that-got-out-of-hand' case, cause the four convicts still had the cheek to book into a resort the following day, showing total lack of remorse for their actions. All the factors point to the four gangsters planning on the attack already beforehand, but let' not get into why.

R.I.P. Darren.
